I’ve influenced public life by advocating effectively across audiences with five years’ experience in stakeholder and project management, event production, integrated communications, public affairs and policy development.


Sport England

February 2019 – Present: Senior Public Affairs Manager

September 2018 – February 2019: (Interim) Public Affairs Manager

Sport England is an ‘arm’s length body’ investing National Lottery and government funds to build an active nation where everybody can benefit from sport and physical activity.


September 2016 – April 2018: Campaigns and Communications Manager

BeyondMe is a small London-based charity and social enterprise dedicated to improving the public understanding of philanthropy and supported by corporate clients, Nesta and the City of London Corporation. Serving a portfolio of small charities, we motivated millennials across the ‘big four’ accountancy firms to donate time, skills and money to improve local services.  

Debating Matters Competition, Academy of Ideas

August 2013 – September 2016: Judges, Alumni and Project Co-ordinator

Students from 300 schools compete in Debating Matters, the UK’s toughest schools’ debating competition. The project is sponsored by the Wellcome Trust, Research Councils UK, UCAS, G4S, Chartered Institute of Public Relations & Institute of Mechanical Engineering

Since university, my interest in British Politics, International Affairs, Urbanism and Youth Policy has led me to speak in the national press and engage the public and influencers as a debate chair, writer, speaker and advisor in other professional & voluntary engagements.

These have included:

  • the annual Battle of Ideas Festival (2010-present), curating panel debates;
  • the Anglo-Israel Colloquium, convening influencer-level conferences in Jerusalem;
  • The Economist’s Education Foundation, advising the development of youth ‘policy debates’;
  • Chairing events at ICDE Lillehammer’s Lifelong Learning Conference (2019), City of London Festival’s ‘Justice, Money, Power’ debates (2015), Sheffield Doc/Fest (2014) and more.
